War, Peace, and Power:  Diplomatic History of Europe, 1500 – 2000

Fortnightly on Wednesdays
VenueAldinga Library, Central Way, Aldinga Beach
Time10:15 am to 11:30 am
Taught by: Professor Vejas Gabriel Liulevicius, University of Tennessee
We enjoyed this teacher a couple of years ago when he led us through the mystery of Eastern European culture which none of us knew much about. In this course, he takes through the whole of Europe’s tortuous history of royal/rulers and advisers’ shenanigans as they sought to expand and defend their territories and power during five hundred years of greed and fear of retribution; of wise diplomacy and crass stupidity.  Vejas does not disappoint again. Its quite a ride!
